Tennis: Scots drop Oak Harbor 6-1

Brandon Vagt’s win in third singles was all Oak Harbor could salvage in a 6-1 boys tennis loss at Shorecrest Friday. Sept. 10.
Vagt gained the point for the Wildcats with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win.
Ben Cardinal fell in first singles 1-6, 1-6; Josh Evans dropped the No. 2 match 2-6, 2-6; and David DeGuzman was blanked 0-6, 0-6 in third singles.
In doubles play, the Wildcats’ Max O'Dell/Geoff Worley (1-6, 1-6), Eric Berner/Michael Serna (6-4, 2-6, 3-6) and Ben Harrison/Will Southhard (0-6, 3-6) all dropped matches to the Scots, who are now 1-2 in league play.
Oak Harbor (1-1) goes to Shorewood (2-1) at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, for its next match.
