Editor, Reading all the negative letters concerning the cutting of the post office Garry oak tree, it seems to me that the ones protesting its removal most are the ones with the least knowledge of the health of the tree and the hazard it had become.

Editor, Large outbreaks of measles currently being reported in California, British Columbia and New York are already raising concerns as people travel and spread cases. Whatcom County, the San Jaun Islands and Seattle are currently reporting cases.
