Editor, Recently, Editor and Publisher Keven Graves questioned in his column why Oak Harbor has a Flintstone car. Maybe it is time for the paper to do a story on the history of the Flintstone Freeway and the car.
Editor, Just about one year ago, Island County finally filed its lawsuit against property owners on either side of Wonn Road, which had a public beach access since before statehood in 1889.
Editor, When I moved to Oak Harbor in 1982, I knew there was a Navy base here. My cousin who was stationed here during World War II told me he flew planes under Deception Pass Bridge. What I didn’t expect was that planes would be flying over my house.
