Criticisms unwarranted

Dean Nelson’s May 5 letter criticizing me on a letter I wrote three months ago was unfair.

Obama ran on transparency. A 2,500-page bill dropped on the legislators on a Friday evening without C-SPAN?

He ran on change. Everything is the same with Iraq, Afghanistan and Gitmo. He ran on hope: $12 trillion is owed that we can’t repay, the dollar devalued, Iran, North Korea and Venezuela still in the news.

Mr. Nelson claims that Obama has done quite well even though no example is given. He bashes Bush regarding the wars under his administration. Last time I checked a war could only be approved by Congress.

Then Nelson put me in with the Tea Party movement, of which I am not a member. Even though this is an open forum you have slandered me. Nelson states Bush created the housing crisis. Sorry pal, Clinton was the one who put people in homes they couldn’t afford. He then states Obama has improved our image to the world. I don’t know who you are talking to but the people I spoke to in Italy with a bus full of Canadians and Australians believe that he has weakened our image.

I am sure La Conner is safe. However, three of my grandchildren live in New York and three others in Las Vegas. That’s two hot spots for terrorists. I am sure Dean that you had no one killed on 9/11 however, other people were not as fortunate.
