Many thanks to the Oak Harbor Lions Club for putting out the U.S. flags on St. Patrick’s Day! It was a grand sunshiney day for all the Irish parade-goers! The Oak Harbor Irish Wildlife Society handed out candy and green beads down Pioneer Way to the Windmill & “Blarney Stone”!

The Casual House and Whidbey Coffee (on Pioneer) won awards for the Greenest Windows. Parade winners included Charlynn Raimundi and the Moving and Grooving kids, leprechaun Brian Padgett and his dog Toby, and Cecil Calavan and the Pearl Harbor survivors. Congrats to all. We also thank the Whidbey Cruzers for helping transport royalty and dignitaries plus our community band for all the fine Irish tunes.

Many thanks go to Midway Florist, Custom Engraving and Mr. Music for their annual support of this fun parade. Please join us next year on St. Patrick’s Day for Oak Harbor’s 38th annual parade!
