This is in response to Sandey Brandon’s “Sound Off” published Jan. 30.

My letter said nothing about the Langley fair receiving tax dollars.

My letter said: “Langley fairgrounds are located on county property ... facilities need repair or replacement ... traffic congestion and parking are problems ... many go to other county fairs because they have superior facilities and amenities.”

My idea was merging the Island County Fair in Langley with Greenbank Farm would: Reduce operating costs and improve attendance and income. The county should sell the Langley property to fund the merger.
