School levies create leaders
January 29, 2010 · Updated 12:38 PM
We moved to Central Whidbey because of the amazing support this community provides to its youngest members. Our community understands the value of our young people and expresses that often. We once again have the opportunity to show our children that their education, and consequently their future, is our priority. We will be voting on two levies in February.
The upcoming Coupeville School Districts levies are necessary to ensure our children are getting a quality education and getting technology that will not only allow them to compete in the 21st Century but to become “leaders of the pack.” The levy rate for our schools is among the lowest in our region. Even with the renewal of the maintenance and operations and the passage of the new technology levy, we will remain among the lowest taxed communities.
Our students are relying on us to maintain our current level of services and enhance their educational experience with updated technology. Without these levies our schools will face deep cuts. Our schools and our young people need your support today. Please vote for both levies in February and show our children that we support them.
