Great experience at Navy concert
December 18, 2009 · Updated 12:42 PM
A big thank you. My wife and I attended the Navy Band Northwest Christmas concert Saturday evening. What a wonderful experience. From start to finish. It was refreshing to have the superintendent of Oak Harbor schools to stand before the full house audiences and thank the community for the support in making the beautiful new auditorium possible.
Then came the band with its wide assortment of music styles, and the two vocalists. It was a pleasure to watch the conductors master the exceptional talent they were in control of. The 86-years-young Admiral George W. Lotenhiser was an added treat as he lead the band with total control. Lastly the audience was wonderful in showing their support for the high school and band. Thank you all.
