Stop catalogs and save money
November 27, 2009 · Updated 1:25 PM
I commend Mr. Mack’s recent letter describing his efforts to rid his mailbox of catalogs. Especially at this time of the year the catalogs roll in relentlessly. I want to let Mr. Mack and others know that www.catalogchoice.org is an effective way to stop the catalogs. It’s easy to use and it works. It may take time for the deluge to stop, but it will.
I have stopped all but a few catalogs from coming to my house, and I’ve requested that those remaining few only send a catalog once a year. Not only do we have less clutter and recycling to do, I’ve found that we buy much less.
Go figure, those marketing folks really know that putting a catalog in your hands once a month makes you buy all kinds of things you don’t need.
Break the consumption/catalog cycle; log on to www.catalogchoice.org.
