France leads the way in energy

Contrary to a quote in the Whidbey News-Times, tidal energy is not “a new technology.” France has been using tidal generators for years. France also generates much of its electricity from nuclear energy generators. While we listen to scare tactics from the “anti-nuke” people, I have never heard of France having a mishap from their nuclear generators.

We could have been energy efficient years ago if we had gotten our heads out of the sand and developed the necessary technologies to safely generate electricity by a variety of measures. Instead we have practically bankrupted ourselves over the high cost of imported oil. When will we ever learn?
