The North Whidbey community again this year came together in a remarkable way to support the American Cancer Society Relay For Life and I would like to take this opportunity to thank every individual who made this happen. There were 102 teams, 1,500 participants, 31 sponsors, 1,900 luminaries and we engaged 250 cancer survivors. The Relay raised $177,400 to go toward cancer research, education and patient services.

Relay is more than the actual event that you see at the North Whidbey Middle School track in June. It’s a group of committed people that work thoughout the year because we believe in making a difference. If you are interested in learning more go to www.relayforlife.org/northwhidbeywa.

Thank you North Whidbey!
