Help education with box tops

Saturday morning as I contemplated the current economic situation over a bowl of cereal, I noticed a tiny ten cent coupon with big bold letters, “Box Top$ for Education.” I began to imagine what would happen if everyone on Whidbey Island participated.

For the price of a postage stamp and an envelope, imagine the return on that investment when everyone on the island, young and old, working or retired, parent or not, saved those coupons and mailed them to a school of their choice.

Perhaps now is the time to put this under utilized program to work. Why send that 10 cents to the landfill when it can help our education system? Check out this website www.boxtops4education for more information.
