Letters to the Editor

Bailey offers intelligence, integrity

As election day draws closer and the “Democrat at any cost” rhetoric increases, I become all the more convinced that those who so fervently wish to unseat our long-serving 10th District representative, Barbara Bailey, do so simply because Barbara is a Republican.

Certainly, their allegations of her shortcomings do not meet the standard of truth. Yet, letters continue to appear in these pages that call into question both Barbara’s intelligence and integrity. Anyone who knows Barbara, who has ever worked with her, and who takes the time to talk with her and to understand her actions in the legislature on our behalf, will know without question that intelligence and integrity are her hallmarks. Surely, we could ask for no harder working representative. She has a solid background in the political arena, and her opponent does not. But, most importantly, she has demonstrated through proven performance that the people of the 10th District could ask for no finer representation. For the good of us all, re-elect Barbara Bailey.
