I support Helen Price Johnson to be our new Island County commissioner. I have worked with Helen on numerous occasions and have found her to be a woman of substance who cares deeply for the Island County community. She is a woman of conviction and sets a high standard of honesty and integrity that she lives by.

I have observed Helen face serious problems as a school board member by seeking and discerning information before making critical decisions. Helen is always available to answer questions. She is a very active member of the community. Helen has always supported programs that reach out to children and families such as the Readiness To Learn Program that serves families in Camano Island, Oak Harbor, Coupeville and South Whidbey.

Helen will serve us well. She is not tainted by the "good old boy" slant of politics, nor is she a person who would be swayed by the few. Helen will listen and act in our best interest.
