PSEs just wants your cash
October 16, 2008 · 3:31 PM
The reason there haven’t been any new PUDs formed in quite a few years is because PSE takes a big pot of our money to defeat them. When you see the PSE signs on the roads, when you see the huge PSE ads in the newspapers, and when you get the PSE phone calls at home, remember - you paid for them. Whatever “citizens committee” says they paid for the ads, remember that PSE paid for the committee. Once again, they’re trying to pull the wool over your eyes.
The only source of money PSE has is from rate payers. So, everything they spend to defeat the will of the people, comes from your pocket. If you vote for the PUD, not only will you have non-profit power, you won’t be paying millions to executives, for skyboxes, for corporate jets and other perks, and you won’t be paying contributions to politicians, you won’t be wining and dining any elected officials, and you won’t be running any anti-public campaigns. That just a few reasons you’ll save on your electricity bill.
Vote for the PUD. Save yourself some money, just like participants in every other citizen-owned utility in the State of Washington. There is good reason PSE doesn’t want to lose you. You’re a cash cow.
