As I drive north on State Route 20 from Oak Harbor to Burlington, I am simply overwhelmed and thankful for the vast improvements in what formerly were dangerous blind turns, narrow lanes and roads, and impaired visual and surface conditions.

Though improvements are incomplete, which is clearly evident, Route 20 is becoming a pleasure to drive from Clinton to Oak Harbor to Burlington. These exemplary benefits for the people of Island and Skagit counties are attributable to Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen. Many accidents will be prevented and lives will be saved as a result of improved visibility and surface conditions. District 10 is in great debt to her for her leadership as head of the Transportation Committee.

Please show your appreciation and assure the county’s safe driving future by voting for Mary Margaret and also please do remind your friends and acquaintances the same.
