Make motorcycle classes mandatory
September 12, 2008 · Updated 4:23 PM
Another motorcyclists has died. Who pays for the damage he caused when the accident happened? I called an insurance company and the lady said very slowly, “No, insurance is not required for a motorcycle or motor home.” Why not? They use gas and oil, drive on the streets and highways, cause accidents to people, houses, themselves. Who pays for the damage these motorcyclists cause?
How to ride a motorcycle should be a requirement before they can get an endorsement on their auto driver’s license. Yet, how many who drive cycles have that endorsement, or the training? Motorcyclists are required to wear helmets in this state, why not a requirement for training before they hit the road?
Buy a bike, take the training, enjoy the ride safely. Help save a life.
