Because I had not yet met Helen Price Johnson I called and asked her to coffee and she was kind enough to accept the invitation despite what must be a hectic schedule. After a long conversation, I left knowing that she is the candidate I support. She will not only best represent the interests of our county but also provide responsive, engaged leadership.

Helen is a great listener, she listens deeply and respectfully. When asked questions, she is articulate and knowledgeable, presenting ideas and intentions that will truly benefit our communities. I am particularly impressed that Helen was able to navigate the South Whidbey School District through some challenging times as school board president and came through this experience as a highly respected community member.

Helen is deeply invested in community building: she has plans to implement citizen based participation county wide. Helen is committed to providing a responsive, transparent government. She is well informed about our local economy, as well as environmental and development issues.

Most of all, Helen brings an energetic, caring, pro-active intelligence that is refreshing.

I’m needing refreshing. I urge you to vote for Helen Price Johnson.
