Three cheers for Oak Harbor’s 4th of July celebration of Independence Day! The city and the citizens of the city and surrounding area have outdone themselves again!

From the gorgeous hanging baskets on Pioneer to the carnival to the booths at Windjammer Park to the parade with the Nile band playing Yankee Doodle Dandy and the Scouts and Little League players and classic cars and motorcycles and politicians and commercial presentations and church groups to the stupendous fireworks — three cheers!

Thanks to every individual and group that made it a memorable celebration!
