Developer has pawns on council
July 3, 2008 · Updated 10:45 PM
After attending the March 29 City Council meeting on whether the 15 acre parcel known as Frostad pond (which is a Class A wetland) should be developed by George Churchill, I was dismayed by the blatant disregard by the council members for the environment and wildlife that are rapidly being run out of their habitats.
The City Council members are nothing but pawns on George Churchills chess table, and Mr. Churchill, if you think you are saving a wetland (as you stated) by surrounding Frostad pond with 45 houses you are seriously delusional. You are in part responsible for destroying the natural beauty of this island.
I will be waiting in anticipation to see what wetland you plan on saving next. Lets face it Mr. Churchill, money talks and the rest of us walk!
