School bond: Top priority already funded

Now that the time to cast our ballots is almost here, I feel that a gentle reminder is in order.

The school system decided that a world class athletic facility was the number one priority. We voted in favor of our school’s athletes. Now the school system would have us believe that the high school is only seconds from condemnation.

Could it be that marketing dictated that the athletic facility be proposed before they got around to telling us of the great high school catastrophe? Perhaps it is time to tell the school system that we would be happy to vote for improvements to the high school right after we get done paying for the “must have” ball field. Fair is fair...
