Feedback: Burger insanity hits Oak Harbor

Do we really need another hamburger joint? Oak Harbor currently has 20 restaurants where a hamburger can be purchased. Going to astronomical expense of putting in a new street so we can get another hamburger is insane.

Who decides what kind of restaurants come to our town anyway? We seem to always get more of the same. Those of us who long for cheese blintzes or a big puffy German “Dutch Baby” have to drive to Bellingham. Why can’t Oak Harbor have an IHOP or, for those of us with southern roots, how about a Cracker Barrel? They offer fried apples and red sausage gravy over big fluffy biscuits, not to forget real chicken and dumplings.

Even a Red Lobster or an Olive Garden would be more worth building a new street.

All that expense for a hamburger? I don’t think so.
