High school bond

I attended the Nov 28 public meeting regarding the high school remodel proposal.

It is appalling that the people did not have the foresight in 2003 when the opportunity was there to do things right.

It does not matter whether you have children attending the school, will be attending, or have children at all. This is an issue which affects all of us. Same thoughts go out to the teachers and staff forced to work in such deplorable conditions.

We are dealing with all of our futures, and it is our children who bear the responsibility to pay our taxes. Let’s set the right example and provide the environment which will allow them to do so.

A couple of hundred dollars at most a year — we all know most people spend more than that on fast food or coffee a month. This is a very small price to pay, let’s get our priorities in line.

It is unlikely my children will be attending Oak Harbor High, but if it were the case I would make this an issue high on my agenda, or move to Coupeville.

Pay now or pay later!
