‘Holidays’ take over Christmas

Remember the good old days (pre-2005) when the kids would make up their Christmas wish list for the Christmas presents they hoped they would find under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning? And remember when Wal-Mart, Sears and K-mart would have Christmas sales between Thanksgiving and Christmas?

These days you just can’t find a Christmas sale or Christmas decorations or Christmas trees at many of these stores. No Christmas lights or Christmas wreaths. You can’t even find the word “Christmas” in their sales papers anymore!

I could go on and on. But why bother? Happy holidays? No. Merry Christmas! What happened to the good old days?
