Pet care: Shame on owners

Once again a dog has been dumped in our neighborhood; you, her former owners, disgust me! These were all loyal pets to you, and they loved you unconditionally.

I hope you feel guilty every time you go into your home or car! You should never get another dog, but I am sure you will; because to you it just doesn’t matter, does it?

The dog dumped last week was in the rain and wind, without food or water. It was cold and miserable, yet she paced the road waiting for you to come back. She was so frightened it took several of us many days before we could finally get near her to bring her to my home and call WAIF.

Only luck kept her safe from being driven over by construction crews, delivery trucks and cars. Of course she also risked being shot by a farmer if she survived all else. How dare you just put her out of your car “in the county.” She won’t find a home here, we already have our own pets.

When you are too lazy to take your pets to WAIF, put them in the paper free to a good home. Which by the way is something you haven’t provided.

Thanks Tim, Ryan, Carol, and Dick for helping get this dog to where it could be safe; hopefully a deserving family will adopt it.
