OK, I’ve seen everything now! What part of ridiculous is that “thing” in the middle of the road on Ely Street? After a good laugh, I got to thinking It must be a “round-about circle.” But then, that can’t be, because it has 2 way stops in it. Don’t you know, it has something to do with calming the drivers. Now I realize some drivers need to be calmed down, but that is the silliest thing I’ve seen in a long time.

Now, what bothers me most about all of this is the emergency crews that drive police cars, fire trucks and ambulances. Are they expected to slow down and drive around these things? If I, or any of my family and friends need anyone of these crews to come to our aid, I would want them to be able to come as quickly as possible.  We have some excellent emergency crews here in Oak Harbor, let’s not slow them down!
