Feedback: Pass unsuited for electricity

PSE is already aware of harnessing the tides at Deception Pass.

About 1975, or so, I was a member of a panel sponsored by PSE. We were appointed to discuss and promote the various sources of energy that might be practical for use by PSE.

If I recall, I even wrote a letter to the Army Corps of Engineers asking their opinion. They replied that there is only about six feet of water flowing that area which would insufficient for such purpose.

And since the water flowing through the Pass is navigable it would have to remain open much of the time
