Feedback: Moral roots still clinging

In the June 8 issue of the Whidbey News-Times, Matt Burns really “told it like it is.” His letter, titled “Society morally slipping away,” could not have been said better.

We have said more than once, “It is time for the silent majority to speak up,” and it certainly is time to take a stand in this instance.

Some of us think that it doesn’t matter if we vote or not. But when we vote for judges we should take a long hard look at their views and values, and then vote accordingly. The erosion of our society is perpetuated by the decisions that are made by them.

We must speak out to our representatives and tell them how we feel. It is time for Americans to take back our country, our constitution and reinstate the morals and values upon which this country was built.
