Feedback: Two lanes, not roundabout

Instead of the ill conceived plan to place a “roundabout” at the intersection of Swantown Road and the highway, which would be a real nightmare, there are better solutions.

Unless it is just an excuse to hire another expensive consultant, we would be much better served if the highway from Swantown to Pioneer was two lanes both directions. Our worst backups are caused by the single lane bumper-to-bumper backups from Pioneer all the way up the hill to Swantown. Intersections are blocked, and no one can get out of any of the business driveways along that stretch of the road. Two lanes instead of one would surely ease that. The curb lane going toward Swantown could turn into a right turn only at the top of the hill. It would also give people merging left much more time to make the merge.

Another step that would help ease our traffic flow would be the timing of the stop lights through town, at least during rush our.
