Roundabouts, huh? I’m all in favor of them because it will stimulate the economy around here. We will have to pay designers, engineers, tree huggers, inspectors, regulators, property owners and construction folks to put them in; as well as the body shops, car parts stores, insurance agents, car dealers, tow truck companies. In all, we’ll see more business. And then we can pay tree huggers, bureaucrats, inspectors and construction folks to remove them.

What a boon that would be to Oak Harbor. We could even put bleachers and T-shirt shops around the roundabouts, plus advertise to attract tourists so they could watch the fun! Just think, you could have a shirt reading, “I Survived Oak Harbor’s Roundabouts.” All you whiners are being short-sighted, the Department of Transportation would never lead us wrong with the current fad-de-jour in traffic circles (pun intended).
