I understand that the mayor and city council will make sure we, the residents of the greater Oak Harbor area, will be educated in how to use the traffic circles. That’s fine. I also understand that re-developing downtown is about businesses, bringing in tourists and their dollars to our economy. Who is going to teach the tourists about how to use the traffic circles?

I foresee a huge mess of large RV’s pulling boats and ATV’s tied in a knot. With us, the folks who live around here, not very happy, except for the businesses. Will there be something like a weigh station on either end of town where tourists have to pull in to be educated in traffic circles? Will our auto insurance costs go up with the increased accidents that tourists uneducated in the use of traffic circles may cause?
