Our military has fought long and hard to give Iraqis the right to vote. So Navy families have a very personal understanding of the importance of casting a ballot. That’s why we make a point to register where we are stationed, and support local efforts to make communities a better place to live.

The M&O school levy renewal March 8 is crucial for maintaining the quality of Oak Harbor schools. Navy voters can make an enormous difference in its outcome. There is still time to register to vote here and make your voice heard. You can get forms in school offices, libraries and City Hall, and turn them in by Feb. 5.  Or go to the auditor’s office in Coupeville before Feb. 18. Do your civic duty and support our local schools!

Cmdr. Bill and Georgianna Jensen,

Oak Harbor
