Development: Library aimed at wrong site
July 3, 2008 · Updated 10:12 PM
For those of you who think the price of the new library is too high, as I do, it could be less if they had chosen the land south of the pool.
1. They wouldn't have to pay for the land.
2. They wouldn't have to build a parking lot.
3. If they built a one story building it wouldn't require an elevator for the handicapped.
This would save many thousands of dollars. And cost us less.
You can show your disapproval by rejecting this bond.
Regardless where they build it, the usage by the college students will probably be less than now. It's very convenient now, when it isn't usage should go down.
