Traffic: Turn lanes needed now

Just how many accidents do we have to have at Highway 20 at Dugualla Bay Farms or Highway 20 and Jones Road before we get some turn lanes? I appreciate the article last week that noted the police would be cracking down on those inconsiderate people who are passing on the right and ultimately causing the wrecks — but how effective or practical is that? I mean, are they going to sit there 24 hours a day? Where were they today when another accident took place?

It's not policemen who are causing the accidents, and it's really not their responsible to babysit the idiots who are causing them. I believe those numbskulls should be ticketed, and they probably are — after someone gets carted off the Whidbey General, and if they stick around at the scene.

Please, we need some turn lanes, one for southbound traffic turning east on Jones Road, and one for southbound and northbound traffic turning into Dugualla Bay Farms.
