My hat is off to you as editor for your editorial on this subject (veterans memorials), and certainly to Councilman Brewer for standing up for what is right for our community, the veterans who have served us and those who made sacrifices for us. We can not ever forget them!

I served in two Patrol Squadrons flying the P2V Neptune and with seven deployments and over 3,000 flying hours, my name could have been on one of those walls to be erected. Instead, I would like to remember and recall the friends that I had whose names will appear when this memorial is erected.

And may I also add, that I am a contributor to this memorial as part of the VP-2 Association who is the spearhead for this memorial.
