Neptune memorial: Former XO would appreciate memorial
July 3, 2008 · Updated 10:09 PM
May I add my voice to those requesting a memorial to P2V pilots here. My husband, Capt. William M. Hodges, was executive officer of Whidbey Island Naval Air Station from 1957 to 1959 and flew P2Vs until he retired in 1965.
Whidbey was his favorite of all the places he served, and P2Vs were his favorite plane. He would have loved to see a memorial to these planes here in Oak Harbor.
