Politics: Liberals should support Bush

If nothing else, you have to admire this man’s character. The left is throwing every bit of dirt from supposed gaps in National Guard service 30 years ago to dark conspiracies about his connections with Halliburton, Saudi royalty and Sept. 11. President Bush is a man who sees these attacks for what they are, a desperate attempt to regain power by the left. Give it up liberals. You only make yourselves look more foolish, and that’s tough considering your current standing.

You’re dealing with a man of integrity who does what he says he will do regardless of milk-toast world opinion and biased polls. We are winning this war on terrorism. He is rebuilding respect for this great nation and the oval office despite the legislature and judiciary.

Here’s some advice for you libs: Pull your heads out of the sand. Get behind this great president who does more than just talk about fixing things. (When cancer is diagnosed you don’t sit back, talk about it and hand it off to the U.N. You get in there and operate and hope you caught it early enough.)

Support the troops. You cannot rant about the war we’re in and simultaneously support these fine young Americans who are giving their lives for such a great cause. As a side note, Milt Priggie (cartoonist), how about building up our country instead of trying to further divide it every week? I find no humor in your weak attempts at satire.

Finally, just let me say that at least we know what we have in President Bush. That’s more than we’ll ever get from the likes of Democrats like Kerry, Clinton(s) and Gore whose opinions change with every political breeze. I am sure it would be frightening to know what they really believe in. Of course they are intellectually superior to us ordinary citizens who make this country work. Just ask them.
