Boy, am I glad to see the common sense statements of Senators Jim Inhoff (R-OK) and Zell Miller (D-GA). Yep, the doings at the prison were outrageous. Quit trying to ascribe wide-spread subversive motives to those abhorrent actions reaching all the way up the chain of command to the White House, and accept them for what they are: the actions of some immature, poorly trained and misguided soldiers, combined with very poor leadership and supervision at the prison. Period.

Relieve those in charge there, court-martial them and the soldiers if indicated, and get on with life. Remember who the enemy is...and it isn't us. We did not behead any prisoners. Nor did we hang them from bridges, burn them, or mutilate them. We simply embarrassed them. Darn the luck! Poor judgment by those on site, poor supervision by those who should have been supervising. That's all.
