Does anyone ever stick to his/her New Years Resolutions?

I blew it yesterday.

My mantra: chill out, go with the flow. In short I don’t let rude, inconsiderate people get to me.

Full moon, what do you expect? Of course I overreacted. So, when I got home I was angrier at myself than at the obnoxious sales clerk.

Sixty years old, you’d think he could get it right.

Mantra: Don’t beat yourself up.

The full moon illuminates areas of our life that need work.

Well, hello. Who needs reminders of our imperfections?

But, I remind myself, that is why we are on earth, to learn to become better, more enlightened beings.

Dang. It’s so much easier to just blame the sales clerk.

She was wrong, I was right

But … I made it worse by reacting to her.

Mantra: By lowering yourself to someone else’s level, you drag yourself down.

Now we’re back where we started. Chill out, go with the flow.

Will I ever get it right?
