Deputy: Heroic actions not surprising
July 3, 2008 · Updated 9:59 PM
Having read the article on the fire at the assisted care center, I was not surprised to see the name Deputy Scott Davis. I remember Scott when it was Petty Officer Davis, when we were flying with the Search and Rescue Team at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.
Scott was a go-getter, who never gave up then and I was glad to read that he didn't give up on finding the lady he rescued.
The everyday heroes never seem to get credited for what they do on a daily basis, and I would like to say good job Scott and the other deputy involved in the rescue of the elderly lady.
