Military: Jets' noise beats snoring

Having just recently retired and moved to Whidbey Island I guess I wasn't fully aware of the wide range of opinions that are solicited by the island, such as asking people in Florida what they think about the noise levels of our Navy planes that are practicing to hone their skills so that they can protect this person’s rights to complain. I guess things have changed since I was last in Florida and apparently they have gotten rid of all things that a citizen would want to complain about.

My suggestion to this person would be to please contact my wife for some helpful advice because after having gone through several surgeries myself to eliminate major snoring problems that would allow my wife to get some much needed rest, I find that I still have an occasional bad night that really disturbs her. But lo and behold, because we live in the flight pattern of OLF (that's Outlying Field for those from Florida) up jump those good old Navy pilots and their noisy airplanes and guess what? My wife sleeps like a baby.

I guess there is something to be said for the sound of security, but I certainly didn't know that it echoed all the way to Florida.
