Letters to the Editor

President: We have the right leader

I would like to reply to Ann Adam’s letter to the editor titled; “Bush lied, soldiers die.” I am sure that by now everyone who reads the Whidbey News-Times has established that Mrs. Adams hates the president of the United States. We know of her views because she regurgitates them constantly for the readers’ amusement and more often then not, irritation. Bush bashers of the world; “shut up,” and get over it. You are like a child’s wind up toy, which gives you a different sentence every time you pull the string, while it’s amusing at first, you eventually grow tired of it.

The people of these United States made the right choice in November of 2000 and it was verified after Sept. 11, 2001. We have a leader who took the fight back across the ocean where it belongs while appeasers protest because we might make someone mad and give him or her an excuse to attack us.

We have a leader who is trying to get our economy back on track while Democrats sit back and pray he fails for no other reason then to have a chance for a power shift in 2004.

We have a leader who has an unimaginable amount of responsibility on his shoulders and deserves our support because we are Americans and we love our country.

Tell the whole story Mrs. Adams and let us decide who’s at fault. We had eight years before President Bush to learn how to sort garbage from truth. I respect President Bush. I respect him because, unlike Clinton who reeked of arrogance, President Bush reeks of determination, and that is what we need. I would hate to imaging what the situation would be like if a Democrat was in office when we were attacked, I’m sure the terrorists would have preferred sanctions over bombs.

We all know that you do not like the president, so hopefully you will be so kind as not to trouble us with your opinions from now on. Oh, who am I kidding?
