Hospital: This vote goes to Dr. Z

Why on earth is Peter Borden raising such a fuss about Dr. Zaveruha becoming a hospital commissioner (News-Times, Sept. 6)? Why was his signature the only one on the letter he wrote that was on Hospital Board letterhead?

Borden's rant about ''conflict of interest" is a non-issue. The key word is “recuse.” Doc Z can simply not vote on an issue from which he might benefit.

I think Borden's really afraid Doc Z will do a better job than he (Borden) failed to do. Doc Z created an A-plus emergency department and I am yet to hear any complaints about it.

With Borden's off-key thinking, a property owner would be prohibited from sitting on the Town Council, planning commission or water board!

Vote for Doc Z.
