Tourism: Getting our nothing's worth

The May 10 business page article, "Doin' nothing in Island County," compels me to ask a question -- how can the 2 Percent Tourism Committee justify spending $250,000 per year for 5 years without being able to verify if they are getting a positive return for money spent?

It could be possible that Island County is getting "nothing" for money spent.
