As an Island County resident, it is gratifying to acknowledge the extensive support the Oak Harbor community gave to the library levy in the February election. It is evident that Oak Harbor residents understand the important role libraries and schools have in their community.

Libraries and schools build communities … and they signify what we value.

They are our identity, and our heritage. By voting "yes" for the high school renovation we demonstrate to ourselves and others a renewal of this commitment to our community.
