It was a sad day when the Whidbey News-Times called a peaceful protest against war “inappropriate.”

It was a sad day when military families were insulted by attempts to keep their loved ones from being killed on the battlefield of an unjust war.

We needed the comic relief of Ken Severine’s theory that the protesters were on Saddam's payroll. If that were true, Saddam Hussein would be doing more to stimulate the U.S. economy than George W. Bush is doing.
