What have I missed? Isn't the role of government to protect its citizens? I can't believe that Island County made T-Mobile take down the warning light on the pole across the highway from the Navy's Out-Lying Field (Whidbey News-Times, Dec. 21). I would have expected the county to require the light when it is so near an airport runway.

I would really be yelling and screaming if my husband were still flying.
