To the Marines stationed at NAS Whidbey, our deepest apologies if we slighted you.

The MATSG-53 unit, Col. Keim commanding is still on the base and supportive of the Toys for Tots program. Although they are not the Marine support group that previously ran the program they nonetheless volunteer and will be helping again this year.

These young Marines will be donating their free time to man the Toys for Tots barrels throughout Oak Harbor.

At the time the previous news story was written, their participation had not yet been approved, thus the omission.

Again, our apologies to our local Marine Corps, and our thanks for everything they do for America at home and abroad.
