I want to respond to a few articles in the Oct. 26 Whidbey News-Times.

In Street Stalk, Mike Green just moved here from California (Reagan country). He commented he wants to vote Republican on principles. He was probably a Re- “pub”- lican in California also. I am going to vote Democrat because Al Gore “is” our elected president. Four years ago my house was robbed. Two years ago my country was robbed. And it brought the teel-e-ban.

Stephen Almon, Oak Harbor police chief, wants feedback. Have an open counter at the front desk 24 hours per day. The way the station is set up shows how unapproachable the law enforcement of Whidbey Island.

West Beach trails are good. We as young folks all hiked West Beach. Open spaces.
