Coupeville: Questions for developers

Regarding the proposed changes to the north side of Highway 20 between Broadway and Main, is the developer going to support the infrastructure? Is he going to build the sewer and water main systems?

Can Coupeville sanitation and water districts sustain this growth? Will he help drill a new well or find another water source? Who is going to build and maintain roads? What about increased traffic? Will easements be made? Will traffic and street lights be installed?

Our schools are already close to the point of overcrowding. Will the developer support the building of a new school? How does all of this fit into preservation of Coupeville and Ebey’s historical district? Seems to us that the developer gains a lot and we’re left with the tab and the sprawl.
