It has come to our attention there are some who do not realize Sharon Franzen, for whom friends started a write-in campaign for Island County Clerk, is the same person who used to be Sharon Samplawski. This was her name prior to her friendly divorce from Norm Samplawski, who retired from the Oak Harbor Post Office.

Sharon, not wanting to cause confusion in the event her ex-husband re-married (which he has) and then there being two Mrs. Samplawskis, decided it best she take back her maiden name.

In closing we would like to thank all the good people who wrote in her name at the polls in the primary election. She will now be a candidate in the November election for Island County Clerk.

Sharon’s parents,

Daryl and Chic Franzen

Coupeville
